Bell se panica usor cand vazu deschiderea ce ducea in pivnita; oare chiar vroia sa intre acolo? Toata fiinta ii protesta, rugand'o sa se intoarca la castel. Insa stia ca nu poate lasa lucrurile asa, sa se rezolve singure. Nu aveau sa se rezolve, fara ajutorul lor. Pentru ca magia neagra plutea la fiecare pas, urmarindu'le fiecare miscare.

"-Cred ca nu avem de ales" spuse ea.
Rosalie arata de parca se rugase sa spuna "nu". Dar ofta, si se supuse la randul sau. Incepura sa coboare treptele din lemn vechi, ce scartaiau puternic sub greutatea lor.
"-Daca se rup" mormai Rosalie.
"-Cred ca vom avea o problema si mai mare" sopti cercetasa.
"-De ce?!" mormai tanara.
"-E apa acolo jos" ofta Bell.

Intr'adevar, cand aruncara o bucatica din tavanul prabusit pe trepte, auzira cum se loveste de un strat de apa si se scufunda; asta le mai lipsea - o piscina subterana, in subsolul unui Conac Bantuit. Chiar aveau noroc..cu carul..
