Doamna in roz - care incepea sa o enerveze doar datorita culorii pe care o avea rochia ei - devenise si mai ironica.
"-Sincer, fetelor; mergeti si bagati'va in paturile voastre" spuse ea, cu o voce pitigaiata.
Baba nebuna! isi spuse Bell in gand. Chiar crede ca nu as vrea sa fac asta?!
Desiree insa privi tabloul cu dezgust si se intoarse.
"-Haideti" ordona ea.
Intr'un fel avea dreptate; de ce sa piarda timpul cu o pictura care nu vroia decat sa le scoata din minti; pierdeau timp pretios.

"-Poate ar fi trebuit sa ii intrebam si pe cei din tablourile alaturate" spuse cercetasa.
Alice ofta, si zambi.
"-Erau toti beti; nu prea aveai pe cine sa intrebi" remarca ea.
"-Corect" mormai Desiree.
Erau pierdute; daca se intalneau cu Filch in acel moment, soarta lor avea sa fie pecetluita.
"-Uite acolo" sopti Bell, observand o bucata dintr'o pelerina translucida; mai mult ca sigur apartinea unei fantome!
