Mi-am plimbat incet privirea de la Elizabeth inapoi la sarpe. Vedeam silueta reptilei in intuneric, unduindu-se cu o amorteala toropitoare. Conturul trupului se dezvaluia din umbre, lasciv si ucigator.
Pielea lui reflecta lumina lunii. Sasaitul sarpelui reverbera in aer, in timp ce isi incorda trupul. Numai ca eu nu am auzit un sasait, ci un cuvant.
Sange..moarte..
Sarpele isi pleca trupul si disparu in iarba inalta.
