Se apropie ezitanta de semineu. Cu toate ca dorea sa scape de amintirile ei, trecutul continua sa-i vina in intampinare. Poate ca era vina subconstientului ei.
Puse incet mana pe fotografia inramata. Poza fusese luata acum multa vreme, si nici nu se sinchisise sa-si mai aminteasca de vremurile acelea din cand in cand. Totusi, fotografia statea acolo, pe semineu, in loc sa fie in vechea sa casa din sudul Angliei. Copia aceea ajunsese acolo din pricina vointei sale.
O lua intre degete, simtind rama dura apasandu-i pielea. Atunci auzi usa deschizandu-se in spatele sau.
