Ofta si continua sa inainteze prin tren. Trebuia sa-si caute mai repede un loc in care sa stea - deja simtea nerabdarea si iritarea pisicii sale, care statea laolalta cu bagajele, in carucior. Majoritatea persoanelor, observa ea, deja isi gasisera un compartiment; doar cativa ametiti, printre care si ea, stateau pe coridor, inca cautandu-si colegi cu care sa stea. Arunca priviri curioase prin cateva compartimente, remarcandu-i pe studentii de la alte Case. Se intreba care din ei vor fi Sefii de Casa in anul care va urma.

Gasi intr-un final un compartiment ce parea mai gol; cand se uita prin geamul de sticla, observa usurata doua chipuri cunoscute. Dadu la o parte usa glisanta, carand bagajul dupa ea.
- Salut, Jenn, salut Eveline, spuse ea.
Schita un zambet. Crezuse ca nu va mai gasi anul acela un compartiment in care sa stea.
- Pot sa stau si eu cu voi? le intreba.
