Urmari din priviri bufnita alba in timp ce zbura, pentru ca dupa aceea sa se aseze pe bratul lui Jennifer. Desiree nu avea prea mare experienta cu bufnitele - pasarile abia raspundeau la chemarea sa cand le striga. Tocmai de aceea isi luase o pisica, si nu altceva.
- Cam.. nimic, spuse ea adevarul. Ma duc la scoala.

Le arunca inca o privire, apoi lasa cosuletul in care se afla pisica pe bancheta. Ar fi vrut sa ii dea drumul de acolo, dar era sigura ca nu o va mai gasi prin tren dupa aceea. Facuse prostia asta in urma cu doi ani si era sigura ca nu va mai repeta aceeasi greseala.
- A cui e bufnita? intreba ea, vazand cum Jennifer o mangaie.
Trebuia sa recunoasca ca ii fusese dor de cele doua Cercetase ; nu corespondase cu ele in timpul celor trei luni. Se gandi si la restul colegilor sai, linistindu-se la ideea ca ii va revedea pe toti in acea seara, adunati in Turn.
