- Carefull what you wish for, spuse Desiree, ironica.
Incerca sa se relaxeze stand pe fotoliu, cu muzica Surorilor Stranii rasunand in incapere. Dar.. pur si simplu nu reusea. Se simtea nesigura, vulnerabila. Ca si cand ceva rau se va intampla in curand. Ura senzatia aceea. Nu stii cine esti, nu stii ce se petrece in jur. Doar.. iti dai seama ca ceva al naibii de rau se va intampla.

Isi dadu la o parte gandurile rele si rasufla adanc fumul de tigara, incercand sa se calmeze. Avea uneori stari din acelea care nu prevesteau ceva de bine; insa nu stia daca totul era doar in capul ei sau daca se petrecea ceva real.
Se intoarse catre Jennifer, danduu-si seama de tacerea prelungita.
- Iti aduci aminte cand am fost in Padurea Interzisa? intreba ea, cu un zambet intiparit pe buze.
