  • Vazu toata mobila care aparuse si zambi usor.
    - Saru'mana, multumi ea.
    Se indrepta cu pasi mici catre scaun, apoi se aseza. Nu era pentru prima data cand dadea peste cineva in Camera Necesitatii - si punea pariu ca nu era nici ultima. Se uita in incapere. Cand isi punea ea dorintele, de obicei camera era intesata cu contururi ale gandurilor si amintirilor sale: fotografii vechi de familie, lantisoare de argint pe care le crezuse pierdute sau pianina din sufrageria matusii sale. Acum ca ea nu-si pusese nicio dorinta, locul nu mai avea nicio prezenta a amintirilor sale.
    - Nu ne-am mai vazut de mult timp, India, spuse ea apoi.
