O gasi relativ repede pe Ainsley , chiar si prin toata multimea de studenti; colega sa isi tara bagajul de-a lungul coridorului, cautand un compartiment mai liber. Ii evita intentionat privirea, iar Desiree nu avea cum sa nu observe detaliul acesta.
- Ce faci? o intreba.
Intrebarea suna ciudat in mintea sa. Ea si cu Ainsley nu isi scrisesera scrisori in timpul verii. Era constienta ca ultima oara cand se intalnisera fusese atunci cand dadusera o mica spargere in Minister, numai ca sa caute niste documente. Colega sa ofta si ii arunca o privire plina de sarcasm inainte de a-i raspunde.
- Ma distrez de minune, nu vezi?
