Isi musca buzele pana la sange incercand sa se urce cat mai sus in copacul acela. Centaurii erau foarte aproape, simtea asta. Gasi un adapost printre niste ramuri groase, care ii permitea sa vada ce se intampla fara sa fie vazuta de cei ce ar fi putut sa-si intoarca privirea catre ea. Se urca pana acolo, sperand ca ramurile fragile puteau sa o sustina.
Tropotul surd al copitelor deveni intens; Ainsley privi printre ramuri si vazu zecile de centauri trecand pe langa locul in care se afla, indreptandu-se spre un loc cunoscut numai de ei. Chiar isi tinu respiratia in timp ce ei treceau, temandu-se ca ar fi putut-o auzi. Insa nimic rau nu se intampla, spre usurarea sa. Astepta nerabdatoare ca toti centaurii sa treaca, apoi incepu sa se dea jos.
Atunci vazu o silueta umana indreptandu-se catre copacul ei.
