Perfect betrayal

She raised her eyebrow.
"Maybe five or seven years younger," Andrew handed the ID back to the black haired girl and slipped her a bill to pay for the cigarettes. He pocketed the cigarettes and the change, feeling slightly better about loitering.

That figures. Every time Andrew met a good looking girl there was always something wrong! He hadn't had a decent date for almost a year, and he hadn't had a "real" relationship since high school! And now this girl? Well, she was five years younger than him, he knew from the strat that it was a fake id. He saw one before, yet he didn't dare to tell them this thing. He seemd to go on with the lie. The boy didn't have a problem with the age difference, but he hadn't met a seventeen year old who was ever interested in someone as old and immature—that's what they would say, anyway—as he was.

A few awkward minutes passed in which neither of them said anything. Andrew sat in the chair bouncing his leg on the tiled flooring, and Kennya continued stocking the scratch tickets. The rhythmic hum of the florescent lights above, the churning noise of the ice machine in the back of the store, the buzz of all of the pop fridges and freezers, and the crashes of thunder was really starting to bug Andrew. He needed conversation!
