Perfect betrayal

Katherine returned shortly in her own clothes.
"Ready?" Kennya asked.
Kenn clapped the other girl on the back and laughed. "Night, Koji!" she called out as she guided Katherine to the door.
They left the gas station and stood under the awning for a moment. "It's that blue car over there, let's hide behind it and disaparate." Kennya pointed out in the darkness. A flash of lightening lit up the sky and Kath got a quick glimpse of the car her friend was pointing too. The taller girl reached into her pocket and pulled out her wand. They ran toward it through the rain and, swinging the doors open, they hurled themselves inside the unknown car.

Kennya could feel the awkwardness growing between them. The rain pelted hard on them echoing in the car, and the windshield wiper seemed to be keeping time with Kennya's rapid heartbeat. She really didn't want to say goodbye to the blond one. Neither really wanted to say goodbye. But they barely escaped the alarming situation.
"Did you tell him that..."
"Yes... No.. I mean.. What? anyway, you know I lied to him" said Katherin in a small voice.
"Yeah... I know. So, where should we go from here?"
A small pause in Kennya's movements made Katherine think she had been too bold. An intense weight made home in her stomach as it tried desperately to flip flop.
