Lexie rase nervos la auzul cuvintelor viperinei.
"Doar atat?" intreba ea, ironic. "Ai idee in ce te-ai bagat? Sau cum arati?"
Marai slab si isi scoase din roba un fel de termos plin cu apa. I-l dadu bland lui Morreen.
O chema si pe Jackie langa ea, sa o ajute, si o puse pe Morreen pe picioare.
Se simtea mai bine, era clar. In obraji ii revenise putin culoarea, iar pielea de pe fata nu ii mai era trasa. Acum arata aproape ca de obicei. Lexie o privi indelung, gandindu-se la ceea ce spusese. Treburi cu traficanti? De cand facea prietena ei astfel de lucruri? Avea ceva probleme?
Un mic tuset ii atrase atentia viperinei asupra lui Jackie. Isi daduse seama ca ea era complet pe dinafara.
"Morreen, ea e Jackie. Jackie, Morreen." spuse, pe o voce plictisita.
