Agnes inca statea in lumina lunii . Ce ar fi trebuit sa faca acum ,ca viperinul nu mai era langa ea ? Baga mana in buzunar , parca sperand dupa ceva . Se pare ca scapase din greseala medalionul din buzunar in timp ce fugea. Imposibil gandi roscata .
Ingenuche pe podeaua rece pipaind marmura . Nu gasise nimic . O trecura fiori reci pe sira spinarii ; Probabil era doar vantul isi spuse ea . Dar nu era nici-o fereastra deschisa acolo . O parte a holului era inghitit de intuneric , iar ea era pe jos in lumina lunii cautand ceva care probabil nici nu cazuse pe acel hol . Isi musca buza de jos sperand sa gaseasca medalionul si pe...viperin totodata.
