Lexie se incrunta, putin confuza de schimbarea brusca a situatiei.
Isi schimba repede expresia cand Cartsen intelese un lucru gresit, ca si cum i-ar fi fost frica sau ceva. Se ridica de pe scaun si ii zambi inapoi, un zambet ciudat, retinut.

Ii lua mana, simtindu-se atat de vinovata ca trebuia sa il faca sa sufere mai tarziu. Era ceva prea brutal si direct in acea vinovatie, ca si cum nu ar mai fi trecut prin straturile acelea de 'sange de viperina' pe care totusi le avea.
"Unde vrei sa mergem?" intreba Lexie, revenind la realitate.
Se indreptara spre usa, iar viperina era putin confuza si zapacita.
