Lexie se incrunta la brusca schimbare a tonului lui Carsten. Insa isi schimba repede expresia, si isi muta privirea spre tejgheaua din fata ei.
"Nu voi uita nimic, spuse ea, putin nelinistita. "Insa daca tu crezi ca asta e mai bine pentru mine, atunci poti sa iti continui viata linistit pentru ca nu am de gand sa te caut."

Se uita la el indelung, putin confuza, insa nu mai scoase vreun sunet. Pur si simplu dadu din cap in semn de salut si se intoarse pe calcaie. Porni pe alee cu hainele putin ude. Pe trotuar siroia apa, iar lumina soarelui care abia iesise dintre nori se reflecta in ea. Lexie zambi, fara sa se intoarca.
Chiar daca el voia ca ea sa uite ce se intamplase in acea zi, viperina stia ca se vor intalni din nou.
