Jake ridica din sprancene cand Lucas se intoarse brusc. Vazu cu coada ochiului o o umbra de miscare si isi intoparse capul intr-acolo, suficient de repede incat sa il vada pe Lucas alergand intr-acolo cat putea de repede.

Si el avea impresia ca fusesera urmariti, la fel cum era sigur ca si Lucas o avea. Insa nu ar fi reactionat atat de impulsiv si de brutal. Ar fi incercat sa il scoata pe acel cineva din umbra. Isi pozitiona bratele pe dupa cap cand ajunse in lcul in care Lucas se oprise, vizibil exasperat.

"De ce ai facut asta?" intreba el, putin enrvat. "Puteam sa il prindem daca nu il speriai tu?"
Se incrunta in frustrare si isi lasa mainile sa cada langa el si se indrepta in directia in care merse urmaritorul, mai intai cu pasi lenti, apoi alergand.
"Haide," spuse el, in urma, simtindu-se brusc prost ca strigase la baiat. Trebuia sa il urmareasca pe vrajitorul ala. Mai ales ca acum facea parte din Devoratori. Daca era un auror? Sau un membru al Ordinului?
