Ii zambi scurt,amintindu-si ca nici ea nu avea practic o casa. Facea naveta intre teatrul din Little Hangleton si laboratorul pe care Stark i-l pusese la dispozitie. Uneori adormea printre foi si schite pentru diversele proiecte pe care le avea,alteori se trezea ca prin minune in cabina,inca imbracata in costumul de scena. Niciodata nu se stia sigur ce avea sa urmeze a doua zi,mai ales cu una ca ea. Mai ales intr-o lume ca a ei. Nici nu vroia altceva. De ce si-ar fi dorit?

Artistele de cele mai multe ori erau prostituate insa ea se culca cu anumiti domni numai pentru a-si atinge scopurile,alteori doar le dadea impresia ca se daruise lor - oferindu-le bauturi cu somnifere,dragii de ei adormeau imediat iar ea,de dimineata,le spunea povesti despre cat de bine,cat de magic fusese totul. Nu se invinovatea pentru asta. Nu invinovatea pe nimeni. Poate destinul...
