[John Miller]

"You saying beautiful words about Muggles? Damn, now I know for sure that Gideon is a fucking wizard himself. He totally brain-washed you." John laughed, feeling happy to see he had made her giggle a bit as well.

He couldn't believe everything that had happened that day... Started off with them two still hating on each other, then him entering the aweful depression that nearly drove him to suicide. Claire made clones of the two of them, he introduced her to his friends, and while she felt in love with someone from the Muggle World, which she hated so deeply, he finally fully accepted and admitted his true love for someone from the Wizarding World, which he so deeply hated...

"Life itself is a huge series of fucking weird events, isn't it?"

"Hell yeah, it is..." Claire said, laughing. She looked at John. She still had tears on her face but she had a smile on her lips. And she felt good. And she felt complete. Now she knew how it feels to actually desire something you can not have. She had been way too spoiled her entire life, always getting what she wanted without any bit of pain or struggle.

"Something that you can not have... Something forbidden, something illegal..." she said.

[John Miller]

"Almost better than drugs." John laughed, looking at her. He fully understood what Claire was saying. He always had. He was happy that she was finally able to feel the same as well. "Muggles are interesting being... I kept telling you that but you never believed me. Glad Gideon made you see that..." John said, feeling more grateful and thankful to that man than he had even been before.

[Claire Standish]

She laughed. "It wasn't just him, you know... It was also your friends. Those silly boys. Those beautiful, slutty girls. Those drugs..." she laughed again. "It was also you... For the first time, I saw you smiling and laughing like you truly meant it, John. I saw you looking seriously happy, a thing that I had not seen my entire life. You looked as if you were having the time of your life..."

"Because I did..." he said, smiling to her. "I had the time of my life with you, Claire... Tonight..."

He looked at her without saying anything for few more moments that seemed to last an eternity. Then he hugged her, really tight and powerful, caressing her back with his hands. "I missed you so fucking much, you silly bitch... Why did we ever fight anyway?"

"I have no idea... But I don't care anyway..." Claire confessed, while hugging him back, stronger than ever. "Never leave me alone again, John... Never..." he said, and didn't left him go until he sweared to it.

They spend a bit more time there, just hugging and talking and simply being happy. They did left soon enough though, because the sun was almost rising. This time, it was her time to make them Apparate, and she did it perfectly. They found their clones sleeping together in the same bed, hugging each other and they both laughed. "I don't remember telling them to sleep in the same bed."

"We didn't told them that." John laughed. "But it somehow looks cute. I look good next to you..." he added, while scratching his chin in a thoughtful manner and gaining a slap from the girl in return. "Oh, I forgot something! You take care of them, make them disappear again or whatever. Then you can sneek to bed. I need to go buy something and when I return I will sleep too. Bye." he said, giving her a kiss on the cheek before disappearing.

Claire blinked confused. Now that was fast. She didn't knew what to think or expect from him. Maybe he just wanted to buy a last minute present for Ronnie from the Muggle world. She rolled her eyes at the thought. She didn't even bother to wake up their clones, she just made them disappear by finishing the spell. She was extremely tired so she went straight into her room, deciding it was time for her to sleep.

John didn't went to sleep anymore. It was 8 AM by the time he returned home. He just took a bath, a proper one this time, changed himself in some warm and comfy cloths and went downstairs. He didn't saw Claire there so he imediatly assumed that she was asleep. His parents were in the living-room, and he decided not to be moody or mean or cause a scene. He went to them and greeted them nicely, telling them Marry Christmas. He gave his mother a hug and even his father hugged him. For, maybe, the first time in his life.

"I can not believe you haven't complained at all since you got here, John. That is amazing. Did something happened to you?" his father asked, after he gave him his present.

"Nothing happened. I am just happy." John said, with a big smile.

It was almost afternoon when Claire woke up. She had a headache, probably because of the drugs she had smoke the other night. She took a fast shower to wake herself up properly, changed her cloths and started walking through the house, wondering where everyone else was. She found them all in the living-room, gathered together, cracking jokes and telling stories while laughing and drinking hot chocolate. Her heart filled of warmth seeing that scene. She couldn't believe John was actually having fun together with his family. It was like a dream come true.

"Merry Christmas..." she softly said.
